Title — Project Zero to Couture: Textile Waste Becomes Art
This AI media artwork begins with the enormous mountains of waste left by fast fashion.
The work was inspired by clothing waste in Chile’s Atacama Desert, including new garments discarded with their tags still attached.
After twenty years in fashion design, I now create virtual design work with AI.
The story in this work is a dream I hope to realize one day, even if it feels like a fantasy from where I stand today.
This work transforms discarded clothing into virtual collections and runways using AI. Its purpose is to imagine possibilities for fashion and the environment together.
By finding beauty in discarded materials, I wanted to show that fashion and the environment can coexist.
