[Press] SJ Atelier Delivers AI Training in Uzbekistan for KOICA and Keimyung College University

On the 13th, AI design education specialist SJ Atelier, led by CEO Sejeong Kang, announced the completion of AI content training for instructors at vocational training centers in Uzbekistan, commissioned by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Keimyung College University. 

The training formed part of a project to expand local employment and entrepreneurship by upgrading teaching capabilities at Samarkand Vocational Training Center in Uzbekistan, led by Keimyung College University’s Industry–Academia Cooperation Foundation with KOICA support.

Kang’s recorded lectures and learning materials will be uploaded as official resources to the shared online platform for KOICA’s five vocational training centers in Uzbekistan. These nonprofit educational resources will remain available to instructors and students for continued use in both online and classroom learning.

The training comprised six Zoom sessions from February 19 to March 4, 2026, for instructors from KOICA vocational training centers in Samarkand and Shakhrisabz. Kang personally taught the course, “An Instructor’s Guide to Creating and Using AI Content.”

Keimyung College University developed a long-term roadmap spanning textbook planning and classroom implementation. Late last year, it commissioned SJ Atelier to write an AI handbook for instructors. Kang oversaw the entire process, from writing the textbook to delivering six training sessions. The materials are also scheduled for use in regular student classes at local vocational training centers from March.

KOICA operates five vocational training centers across Uzbekistan to support local technical skills development. Keimyung College University has participated in KOICA’s public–private partnership program since 2019 and is now delivering its third phase, covering 2025–2027. This year, the university also plans to send student volunteers to local centers through the Ministry of Education’s international cooperation initiative.

SJ Atelier’s AI instructor training was one of the programs planned and delivered within Keimyung College University’s structured initiative.

Kang personally delivered practical AI methods that instructors could immediately apply in their teaching. Participants are also leaders at their training centers and influential members of their local communities, so strengthening their AI capabilities can directly improve education. One participating institution is expected to become a university, creating a foundation for using these resources in higher education as well.
