SJ Atelier, Korea’s First AI Fashion Design Education Company, Develops a New AI Textile Course
SJ Atelier, Korea’s first specialist in AI fashion education, developed the AI Textile Design Development Course with the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator. Delivered in October and November, the course received high satisfaction ratings from textile and fashion professionals, who described it as realistic training they could immediately apply at work.
This government-supported course is organized by the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator under the National Human Resources Development Consortium, with training delivered by SJ Atelier. It aims to strengthen AI skills and practical innovation among textile and fashion employees.
This practical curriculum combines twenty years of fashion brand design experience with AI research. Built around actual textile workflows, it covers AI tools, big-data trend analysis, textile planning and design development.
The course provided six hours of intensive practice for professionals from textile and fashion businesses including The Aizen, Focus Fabric and ICC Textile. Following strong participant feedback on its practical value, the Gyeonggido Business & Science Accelerator decided to continue and expand the program in 2026. Eligible textile and fashion manufacturers and professionals in the province can participate free through government support and receive a recognized professional training certificate.
SJ Atelier is Korea’s first company specializing in practical AI fashion design training. Its education and production services span professional AI fashion design, AI textile design development, AI content training and visual content for small brands.
SJ Atelier supports digital transformation through partnerships with fashion companies and public institutions, including K2 Korea and Dankook University’s Industry–Academia Cooperation Foundation. It also teaches practical AI fashion design at universities including Sungkyunkwan and Chungkang. Collaboration with the Gyeonggi Content Agency, Gyeonggi Job Foundation and digital programs for small businesses has helped establish an integrated, practice-focused AI education approach.
“AI is changing fashion and textiles faster than ever,” said Kang. “This first course based on the textile design work I performed as a designer is especially meaningful to me. I will continue developing education that makes a practical contribution to the industry’s digital transformation.”
